Premrose was set up in 1986 by a group of parents as a support group for parents of premature and sick babies and to raise funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at the Rosie Hospital.

What does Premrose do?

• raise funds to buy extra high-tech or state-of-the-art pieces which cannot be bought from the NHS budget
  
• provide home comforts for parents who need to stay close to their babies

Fundraising for Premrose is ongoing throughout the year and events and fundraising activities are supported by members and local groups.

Candles 

Premrose essential oil candles can be purchased for £14.95 each by contacting the Premrose secretary on 01223 245853 or email janette.clark@addenbrookes.nhs.uk.

• Either Orange Cedarwood and Clove or Orange Blossom. Packaged in attractive dark green box featuring the Premrose logo in gold

Calendars

Premrose raised £2,397 by selling calendars for 2008 featuring photos of babies from the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU). The stunning photographs were taken by Cat Lamoon, and the calendar was designed by Mick Cafferkey, both of the Media Studio department at Addenbrooke's.

Premrose sponsored walk

Around 70-80 supporters took part in Premrose's sponsored walk on 11 May 2008. The event went well and everyone enjoyed the day. Premrose are on target to raise their goal of £9,000.
