Friends of Addenbrooke's

Friends of Addenbrooke'sWill you do something special today?

We all know how much our friends mean to us – especially those who are always there when we need them most.

Our Friends of Addenbrooke’s scheme has been set up to recognise the ongoing, regular support of so many of you.

Regular and ongoing support helps us to quickly and flexibly address areas of greatest and most urgent need across Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie.

Staff

From broken bones to brain injuries, cancer to cataracts, doctors and nurses are always striving to improve diagnosis and treatment. Thanks to Friends’ generosity, your hospitals are able to invest in more of the specialist equipment, services and research to benefit patients than would be possible with NHS funding alone.

You can become a Friend of Addenbrooke’s by giving a regular direct debit (miniumum of £5 a month).

In this way you can help more people receive an exceptional level of care in the years ahead.

Your support will make a difference anywhere in the hospitals, wherever the need is greatest:

  • £5 a month could help make wards more dementia-friendly

  • £10 a month could help purchase a portable ultrasound machine for locating hidden breast cancers

  • £20 a month could help fund a specialist calorimetry machine to ensure vulnerable babies receive appropriate levels of nutrition

  • £250 a year could help develop new tests to detect prostate and bladder cancers in DNA fragments.

You can become a Friend by setting up a regular Direct Debit (minimum of £5 a month). Set up a regular gift online today.

When you become a Friend, you will receive regular news about the impact of your support and you will be invited to join us at informative and social events throughout the year.

Friends

Patient care at Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals is among the best in the UK. But with enormous pressure on resources, keeping our hospitals special is a challenge. You can help make a difference for patients by giving your regular support.

By becoming a Friend today, you can make a tangible difference to patients both now and in the future.

Together we can achieve something really special.

If you would like more information about becoming a Friend please call Bridget Tring on 01223 274963 or email: bridget.tring@act4addenbrookes.org.uk

The new Friends scheme carries forward the tradition established by the former Friends of Addenbrooke’s Committee. The Committee made a significant contribution towards patient care, facilities, new technologies and research projects throughout Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie, and we are delighted that their name and supportive ethos lives on though the new Friends of Addenbrooke’s scheme.
