The Old Vicarage

An Evening of African Music

A pre-festival launch of the Cambridge Summer Music Festival, An Evening of African Music will be a unique concert held under cover in the gardens of the Old Vicarage, Grantchester, by kind permission of Lord and Lady Archer.

The Festival Chorus will perform excerpts from the African Sanctus and the Okavango Macbeth, and solos How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace. This special event in an iconic Cambridge location will be an unforgettable evening conducted by Julian Perkins and featuring singer Patti Boulaye.

In cabaret style – bring your supper. There will be a paying bar with Pimms, beer, wine and soft drinks. Entry from 6.30 pm.

The event will raise funds for Addenbrooke’s Abroad, part of ACT, which supports staff in sharing their skills and knowledge with hospitals abroad, particularly those in developing countries, and in doing so using these experiences to improve the care of patients at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals.
