Contract: Permanent

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) is the independent charity that raises money and makes grants to improve the experience of patients and their families at Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie Hospitals in Cambridge. We invest in projects that enable the hospital to treat more patients, transform NHS care, drive innovation through technology, research and the latest equipment to speed up treatment and recovery – or simply to give patients a bit of normality with less fear and anxiety while they’re in the hospital.

As the CRM & Data Insight Lead you will take the Lead in managing one of ACT’s most valuable assets, our CRM database, and helping to maximise its value to our ambitious fundraising goals. This is an exciting time to be joining the team in this role, as we’re in the process of selecting a new CRM solution and provider – so you’ll have the opportunity to project manage the transition from our existing CRM and developing the new system.

Over the past year or so ACT’s fundraising has grown in ambition and sophistication, and we’re just beginning to utilise the power of data analytics, donor insights and audience segmentation – so you’ll have the opportunity to help us continue on this journey and play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve our grateful patient fundraising strategy.

You’ll work with colleagues across the various Fundraising Teams, helping them to maximise the value of the CRM and donor insights to their work. You’ll work closely with the Direct Marketing Lead and Head of Donor Care to maximise the value of our CRM and data insights in supporting our ambitious plans to significantly grow the number of supporters and leads on our database, and their lifetime values.

You’ll be playing a key role in helping the charity to meet its growing ambitions and challenges and ensuring that it can continue to support a world class hospital in delivering the very best patient care, research and treatment.

Hospital Partnerships Lead

Salary: Competitive

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) seeks an outstanding individual for the position of Hospital Partnerships Lead. The successful candidate will support ACT to realise its ambition of being the leading NHS charity in the country and providing exceptional benefits for patients.

ACT raises funds to support Addenbrooke's and the Rosie - the Cambridge University Hospitals. Thanks to the generous support of ACT’s donors, the Hospitals can provide a level of patient care beyond that which NHS funding alone can deliver.

The Hospitals have earned the reputation of being among the world’s best academic healthcare organisations, and ACT’s aim is to support those achievements by raising funds for cutting-edge technology, additional specialist staff, environmental enhancements and extra comforts for patients. The Charity also provides funding for early stage research projects, which can be an essential to advancing treatments, identifying global cures and ultimately saving lives.

Donations from grateful patients can help to enhance the quality of medical care, while also laying the groundwork for future medical innovations and research. ACT has launched a grateful patient fundraising programme to provide opportunities for patients to express their gratitude for the care they have received.

The Hospital Partnerships Lead will be an ambassador for ACT within allocated hospital departments, working to convey to staff and patients the impact that giving can have on the hospital and its ability to deliver improved patient care. The post holder will strategically drive forward the grateful patient programme and will require an ambitious approach to increase the volume of grateful patient referrals and income. The successful candidate will work to maximise funding opportunities for a variety of programmes, ranging from medical equipment, research and specialist staff, to capital projects.

The post holder will be pivotal in raising awareness of ACT within the hospital and championing the Charity brand. To achieve this, the position requires someone who can build rapport and develop excellent relationships with both hospital staff and patients. Crucially, the Hospital Partnerships Lead will require diplomacy, sensitivity, integrity and the ability to build relationships based on a deep level of trust and mutual respect.

This position will provide a rewarding challenge for a driven, proactive and highly committed individual who is passionate about improving care for patients.

This role is based in Cambridge
