Gable Events has joined with Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) to bring the 15th charity dragon boat festival.

48 crews will battle it out over the 200m race course, watched by several hundred spectators who enjoy the bank side entertainment. Teams of 11 people will paddle each 30’ boat, including a drummer at the front beating time and an experienced helm at the tail steering a straight course.

The dragon boats, qualified helms and all racing equipment will be provided, no previous experience is required, and each crew is guaranteed a minimum of three races.

All crews entered into the Festival will be invited to raise sponsorship for Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals.

The Top Fundraising Crew will win a special prize courtesy of Cambridge Escape Rooms. The winning crew raising the most money for Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals will take on the latest craze to hit the UK and have 60 minutes to escape from a locked room using only the power of their brain.
