Thank you Thursday

Our amazing community

From the very start of this crisis, we have been overwhelmed with offers of goods from individuals, community groups and organisations across the region, and beyond, as our hardworking CUH staff work to care for and save patients during the coronavirus outbreak. Money donated by the public and the generosity of these companies and individuals have provided a huge range of snacks, toiletries and other treats to keep staff going through their shifts.

“As a florist I see on daily basis how much joy and happiness flowers bring to people. The smile on someone’s face is something magical and makes my heart sing. So I decided to share some of this beauty in these difficult times with NHS staff and say “thank you!” to all of them.“ - Milos, Milos Hynek Flowers

“A small token of our appreciation for those fighting to keep us safe – thank you!” - Paul Shepherd, Matthew Clark Ltd.

“It’s absolutely jaw-dropping seeing the Cambridge community rally around our NHS." Neil Bharadwa, Cambridge Fruit Company

"Just wanted to say hello from Morrisons St Ives with a gift for you all to let you know we are thinking about you. Thanks for your continued work - stay safe, stay well." Celia Saunders, Morrisons St Ives

“We know that fresh nutritious food can help both physically and mentally within the work place and we wanted to try and reach as many doctors and nurses as possible during this difficult time. Our customers have also been able to assist with the program and many have donated or redirected their office fruit boxes towards our hospital deliveries." Daniel Ox, Fruit for the Office
